For a long time, I think many of us believed it meant having the right title, the corner office, or a seat at someone else’s table.
Today, I see it differently.
Power is choosing your own path. It is building something meaningful. It is using your voice even when it shakes. It is lifting other women as you climb and creating opportunities where none existed before.
This article is a reflection of what I have witnessed through my own journey as an entrepreneur, educator, nonprofit leader, and survivor. I have met incredible women who are rewriting the rules, not because they were given permission, but because they decided they no longer needed it.
I hope it encourages more conversations about leadership, purpose, and what success can look like when we define it for ourselves.
